Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
We collect: (a) account data you provide (email, password hash, company); (b) freight quote inputs (origin, destination, weight, incoterms); (c) usage data (analytics on quote generation, share opens, checkout starts); (d) payment metadata via Stripe (last four digits only — Cargonautix never stores full card numbers).
2. How We Use Data
We use your data to: (a) provide the Service, (b) send transactional email (welcome, share notifications, receipts), (c) improve model orchestration, (d) prevent abuse, (e) comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. AI Model Providers
Freight quote generation sends your quote inputs to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) via the Emergent LLM Key gateway. These providers process the data under their respective privacy policies and do not train foundation models on this data.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We use httpOnly cookies for OAuth session tokens and browser localStorage for legacy email/password JWT sessions. No third-party ad-tracking cookies are set.
5. Public Quote Share Links
When you enable a public share link, anyone with the URL can view the quote until you disable it. View analytics (IP hash, device type, timestamp) are recorded and visible to you as the quote owner. Personal IPs are hashed before storage.
6. Data Retention
Account data is retained for the life of your account. On deletion, we purge personal data within 30 days except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business records (invoicing, tax).
7. Your Rights
Under GDPR / CCPA and similar laws you have the right to (a) access your data, (b) request correction, (c) request deletion, (d) export your data, (e) opt out of promotional email. Email privacy@cargonautixs.com to exercise any of these rights.
8. Data Security
We use bcrypt for password hashing, HTTPS for all traffic, and hosted MongoDB with encryption at rest. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
Cargonautix is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
Material changes to this policy will be notified via email or the Service.
